Hi, I’m Katie, owner of The Dog Concierge and your local dog walker and pet sitter based in Adel, North Leeds.

Dogs have always been at the centre of my life, as a lifelong dog owner and someone who has cared for the pets of friends and family for years, I created The Dog Concierge to offer a more personal approach to dog walking.

I believe every dog deserves more than just a walk – they deserve an enriching adventure tailored to their individual personality and needs. That’s why I offer a personal approach and specialise in solo and same-household walks, giving every dog my full attention in a calm, stress-free environment.

Whether your dog loves exploring woodland trails, enjoying secure enclosed park adventures, or prefers slower, sniff-filled strolls, every outing is designed around what they enjoy most.

My aim is simple: to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your dog is in caring, experienced hands and will return home happy, fulfilled and ready for a well-earned nap.

Say hello to Alfie and Charlie, my two little Maltese and very much the inspiration behind The Dog Concierge. They’re my much-loved companions and you’ll sometimes spot them joining me on walks.

If your dog would enjoy some friendly company, and with your permission, Alfie and Charlie will be overjoyed to join in! They’re very sociable, love making new friends and truly bring a little extra fun and personality to The Dog Concierge.

FAQ’S

Everything you need to know…
Which areas do you cover?

I primarily cover North Leeds, including Adel (LS16), Alwoodley (LS17), Bramhope (LS16), Cookridge (LS16), Horsforth (LS18), Meanwood (LS6), Moortown (LS17), Roundhay (LS8) and Weetwood (LS16). I also have availability in Harrogate.

If you’re unsure whether you’re within my service area, please get in touch – I may still be able to help.

How many dogs do you walk at once?

I specialise in solo and same-household walks, allowing every dog to receive plenty of attention and enjoy a calm, personalised experience. Alfie and Charlie may also join walks, with your permission, if your dog would enjoy some friendly company. They love making new friends!

Where do you walk?

Every walk is tailored to your dogs preferences. We enjoy a variety of beautiful local walks. Where suitable, I can also arrange secure enclosed sessions.

How will my dog travel?

Dogs travel securely restrained using an ISOFIX tether attached to their own well-fitted harness. If your dog is more comfortable travelling in their own travel restraint, I’m happy to use this instead. A fully stocked canine first aid kit is also carried on every adventure.

Must I provide anything for the walk?

Your dog must have a well-fitting harness for both walks and safe travel. I’ll bring everything else they need for their adventure, including suitable leads for dogs of different sizes. If your dog has any favourite treats or specific requirements, just let me know.

Do you collect and return my dog?

Yes. Door-to-door collection and return is included with every walk. If you’re happy to provide a key or access code, I can safely collect and return your dog while you’re at work.

What happens if my dog gets muddy?

Every dog receives a paw rinse and towel dry after their walk, helping to keep your home as clean as possible.

Are you insured?

Yes. I am fully insured, DBS checked and Canine First Aid Level 3 trained.

How do payments work?

For one-off walks and drop-in visits, payment is required in advance to confirm your booking.

For regular weekly walks, you’ll receive one invoice each week covering the following week’s scheduled walks. Payment is due before the first walk of that week.

For pet sitting, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 7 days before your booking; cancellations more than 7 days before can transfer the deposit to an alternative date.

What happens in extreme weather?

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing always come first. In cases of extreme weather, such as excessive heat, or icy conditions, walks may be rescheduled or cancelled. If a walk cannot safely go ahead and an alternative cannot be arranged, you will receive a full refund for that booking.
